When I'm the middle of a white-hot, bad-ass game of Super Mario 1, I like to listen to The Flaming Lips 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.'
I was curious as to whether any other tribe-members had a musical preference while playing this game (or just beating it over and over again)...surely no one can play this game and listen to Meatloaf?

Mon, August 1, 2005 - 10:24 PMI rarely bump anything other than the sweet sweet Mario music while playing. But most Flaming Lips albums seem appropriate. Also, the entire Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy, by Eno, which is uncannily like a Mario game. There's bosses in practically every song and it documents an epic journey/adventure.
That said, here's a mix I came up with, with Mario & Co. in mind.
