What was the best mario game overall

my personally opaion is the for overall graphice and gameplay that it would have to be Mario 64

    I'd say I am torn between SMW2:YI and Mario 64 for the best design overall, But then the first time one of my friends jumped and got the 1up, and then showed me the warp zones in SMB it blew my fucking mind and made video games something much more exciting and mysterious.

      i loved super mario bros 3. i remember when we got it for xmas. it was the mad note. i also like super mario 64. i really cant decide on which was my favorite. i cant wait for 100 marios. its supposed to come out this year from what ive read.

    My personal favorite at the time is Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, for the Gamecube. I can't put it down, but my close, verry verry close second is Mario Cart 64.

      I have 2 snes's and I have mario al-stars mario kart which is my favorite of all the mario karts. i have kirby. I have yoshi's Islan which is the shit. Isnt there a yoshi's adventure? I think I have 2 different yoshi's for snes for somereason. I have Super Mario World and A ton of other games and my bad ass SNES all of the games work and its the shit.

      My most cherrished snes games are Final Fantasy 2 and 3. I have Zelda which was awsome also, and killer instinct,

      I did love mario 64 but I I have 119 stars and cant figure out what the hell the last one is damn it. DAMN IT.

      By the way I think that Killer Instict Gold is the best fighting game ever. and I love F-Zero X also. I have the Old schoo F-0 for the super also

      If any of you are in Denver we can get together and play the super. I have jack Nicholas Golf!!!! I know you all want to play that with the bad ass music and grafix on the super. I know it!!!!

        The Mightiest Mario games have got to be Super Mario 3 for the NES (Tanooki Mario, the frog suit, crazy jumping boot, etc.) and World for the SNES (Yoshi ridin'!). Yoshi's Island and Mario Golf are also the bomb...
